THINK TOWBARS?   THINK TOWCRAFT!
Tow bars

A towbar and its associated electrics are, almost certainly, the most important, safety critical  accessories, that can be installed on your vehicle.

Towcraft specialise in the installation of towbars and associated towing electrics, are main agents for most proprietary towbar manufacturers and have been featured in industry publications like the Caravan Club Magazine, Caravan & Camping Magazine, Which Caravan Magazine & Porter Workshop Manuals.

Towcraft Ltd were the 1st Witter/Westfalia Approved Service Centre in the West Midlands area. The accolade was awarded to us with a presentation on the 17th May 2018.

To Achieve 'Approved Service Centre' status an Installation Centre must meet a very strict standard set by Witter/Westfalia and possess all of the specialist tools required to carry out a towbar installation!

Towbar installations are carried out in purpose designed workshops at our premises in        Rowley Regis, West Midlands.

Installations (by appointment only) can take between 2 to 6 hours to complete. The installation time depends on the vehicle make/model and electrical system required.

Fixed flange, fixed swan neck and detachable swan neck type towbars are available, although the design of a vehicle may dictate the type of towbar required.

Towing electrics consist of 7 pin (12n), twin 7 pin sockets (12n/12s) and 13pin systems using either dedicated (vehicle specific) or universal type wiring systems.

If your vehicle requires coding, to activate towing related features, (only available with dedicated towing electrics), this will be carried out in-house during the installation process*.

Our Technicians are employed directly by Towcraft, we do not use self employed or 3rd party fitters to carry out our installations.

We have over 100 years combined experience in the towbar industry.

(*A minority of vehicles cannot be coded on retrofit installations).

Please note: we DO NOT offer a mobile installation service.

We feel that any work undertaken should only be carried out in a suitably equipped workshop.

This is due to the complexity of modern vehicles and their associated electrical systems.

(There is also the added advantage of us being a physical location should you need us!)
